Commercial Radio

My Career has seen Top Rated Shows for both BBC and commercial radio. Some of the Highlights include...

BBC Radio Cumbria

One of the most successful programmes of the entire output.

Tony James Weekday Afternoons with a dramatic 30% plus, switch on of new listeners, up against Steve Wright.

The only daytime show with a full "ten years younger" listener demographic.

The highest rated weekday daytime show.

Taking Sunday lunchtime from number three in it's market to number one in just 18 months.

Lakeland Radio-South Cumbria

Returned to Cumbria with Lakeland Radio and took over a failing breakfast show.

I reformatted and reprogrammed it, which resulted in adding 50% to the audience-Lakeland's Breakfast with Tony James became the most successful breakfast show for the station in years.

Fox FM-Oxfordshire

The most successful of the 3 weekday shows and my Saturday morning show, the stations highest rated programme of the entire week.

Star FM - Windsor, Maidenhead, Slough

Took the weekday afternoon show to the same audience as breakfast, then devised, presented and produced "The Breakfast Club" which more than tripled the audience in just 15 months, helping Star FM move from 7% to 20% reach in one of the UK's most competitive market places.

Pirate FM - Cornwall, Plymouth and West Devon

Consistently the most successful weekday show, market leader and highest ratings.

BBC Radio Cambridgeshire - Breakfast

Learned lots of new speech skills, and increased audience by nearly 10,000 in 6 months on mainly speech format.

Other Work

Over the years, i've been heard on dozens of radio stations around the world as a voiceover artist. I have presented live shows for nightclubs, clients, and major companies including; Pepsi, Bacardi, Philips, HMV etc. and worked with celebrities, countless pop groups and launched a theme park!

I've voiced over TV commercials and even sung live on British radio - and I cant sing! (Robbie Williams has nothing to worry about!)
